Short answer?  I have no idea!!

I. Am. A. City. Girl!!!  How did I end up on a farm, talking to chickens, collecting eggs, delivering kids, and milking goats??  Again, no idea!

I do know, I try to make the best decisions I can for my kids, and at the end of the day, that is what it boils down to...

My son was struggling with a skin condition.  Doctor after doctor couldn't tell us what was wrong.  Test after test gave no answers.  We kept hearing the word "eczema."  But why, after all this time?  Who knows.  Soap seemed to agitate the issue.  Anti-bacterial that is force fed at school made things worse.

What can we do?  We can provide our own soap.  My husband actually researched and found goat milk soap.  We got some milk and made some soap.  And a new chapter began.  We bought a farm.  We got some goats.  We had some kids.  We milked some goats.  And for the last 4 years, I have been experimenting with different recipes, dried herbs and flowers, and essential oils.  My skin began to love me again.  Winter wasn't so brutal- using homemade soap with natural oils made my skin happy.  The dry skin that usually cracked and broke kept it together.

I became intrigued by the idea of lotion to go with my soap.  My friend had psoriasis.  He hated lotions, they were too greasy, didn't rub in well.  My daughter needed something that didn't make her skin burn.  So, again, I experimented.

And maybe there's a small, slight chance I DO know what I'm doing!
